HOW TO TAKE AMAZING PHOTOS
How do I take a great shot?
1. Use natural light.
Keep it indirect and watch for shadows -- including your own. Artificial indoor lighting can cast colour tones, and low light can result in grainy photos.
2. Choose a clean background.
For indoor shots, neutral colours work best (white, beige, black, gray) with no patterns. Sheets, tablecloths, or Bristol board are great options. A contrasting background helps your product stand out. Remove distractions like chairs, windows, or cupboards.
Outdoors, use nature thoughtfully—always keeping the focus on your product.
3. Staging & props.
Props can add dimension and personality, but keep them minimal. Your product should fill about two-thirds of the frame. One product per photo.
4. Most importantly.
Aim for clean, attractive images. Move closer instead of zooming. Take your time, shoot multiple photos, and select your best.
Edit as needed--crop, adjust light, and enhance.
Do I need a professional camera?
Not at all. Today's smartphones and tablets work beautifully.
